  • Introducing Dani the Daredevil!

    To celebrate the launch of the new Primary Activity Logbook (PAL), Boomerang Ed ran a competition for pupils around the UK to help create a new PAL character who would promote good work habits in class. The winner was Caitlin Daff of Dunbar Primary School with her creation of Dani the Daredevil. Dani is a squirrel who loves roller-blading, maths, cooking, playing with friends and, of course, motorcycle stunts!

  • Enter the BBC 500 Words Short Story Competition!

    As part of the BBC Year of Books, the Chris Evans Breakfast Show wants to get the children of the UK firing up their imaginations and putting pen to paper, chisel to stone, quill to parchment, or just finger to keyboard. If you are aged 13 or under, you are invited to write a short story of 500 words about any made-up subject you like and send it to the BBC. All the stories they receive will be read carefully.
